Ecohouse in the ecocity – art work

How to deliver your work?

Personally or by letter to the Office of the Science Popularisation Centre of the Silesian University of Technology, ul. Konarskiego 22B, 44-100 Gliwice

 

Remember that art work should be done in any technique, spatial form – 2D or 3D models with a maximum size of 50 x 70 cm

 

Competition task:

Your house or apartment can be more “eco”. What solutions could be used for this? This is the question for you! Prepare an art work in any technique in 2D or 3D with the maximum dimensions of 50 x 70 cm, which will show what ecological solutions could be there. We evaluate your works for creativity and ingenuity, aesthetics, and whether the work is in line with the topic and how many such ecological solutions you use.

Information for the teacher:

The aim of the competition task is to visualize any chosen ecological solutions in the immediate vicinity of the authors of the project, starting from their own apartment and ending with their own city. The number of resource-efficient solutions visualized will also have an impact on the work assessment.

 

The result of the competition task is to raise awareness among participants of the ecological use of the environment, the possibility of replacing traditional energy sources with renewable sources, the use of rainwater, the reuse of waste and the reduction of their production through the use of innovative technologies. 

 

To make the instruction for students more attractive, it is in the form of a WebQuest – a website with tips on how to search for content necessary to deepen knowledge related to the topic of work, a detailed description of the task and assessment criteria.

 

The assessment will include:

 

Compliance with the topic.

The number of resource-efficient solutions visualized.

Aesthetics.

Creativity and ingenuity in carrying out the task.

The task can be carried out as part of the core curriculum in the following subjects:

technique, art, biology.
