ADVOCATES OF SCIENCE IN THE FIELD
The project of Science Advocates is designed to initiate and strengthen cooperation between scientists and journalists, and its key goal is to meet representatives of the media and science in the formula of speed-dating.
For several years, the Copernicus Science Centre (CSC) has been helping to establish direct contacts between scientists and journalists in its campaign called Science Advocates. Scientists learn how to talk about their research understandable to every non-scientist, while journalists have the opportunity to see a science workshop live.
Since 2017, the Science Advocates have been setting off for Poland, and it is the third time that the Science Popularisation Centre of the Silesian University of Technology has the opportunity to organize, together with the CSC, the Association of Science Advocates and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, a Silesian meeting of Science Advocates in the Field.
