Telecollaborations 2025/2026
International Telecollaborative Project with Otaru University of Commerce
On January 9, 2026, the final presentation of an international telecollaborative project carried out during the winter semester 2025/2026 in cooperation with Otaru University of Commerce in Japan was held on the Zoom platform.
The project involved third-semester students from the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, majoring in Automation and Robotics, as well as second-semester students of Computer Science and Economics from Japan. The project was supervised by Prof. Daniela Caluianu and Iwona Seta-Dąbrowska, MA.
The project took the form of a joint photographic initiative based on visual storytelling. Working in international teams, students documented selected aspects of their everyday lives and surroundings, creating original photo collections that reflected their individual perspectives.
The themes of the projects included, among others: special occasions, seasonal changes, the journey to university, national sports, comfort food, favourite places and activities at university, and local transportation. Selected photographs became a starting point for discussions, cultural comparisons, and the exchange of experiences between students from both countries.
The project constituted a valuable educational experience, fostering the development of language, communication, and intercultural competencies, while also promoting creative international collaboration and modern forms of academic education.
