CLIL and other projects 2025/2026

11th Edition of the CLIL Programme at the Faculty of Civil Engineering

On 16 June 2026, the final presentation of the 11th edition of the CLIL programme took place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Silesian University of Technology. The programme is delivered as part of the English language course. The CLIL classes were attended by second-year students who, throughout the academic year, developed both language competencies and specialist knowledge in the field of civil engineering.

In this year’s edition, students prepared models illustrating the organization of construction sites for selected structures, such as stadiums, bridges, tunnels, high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, multi-family residential estates, water parks, ports, and dams. The projects were created in various scales using model-making materials such as paper, cardboard, wood, and polystyrene.

The final presentation provided an opportunity to showcase the students’ work in English and to summarise the skills they had acquired in construction process planning and technical communication. All models were subsequently displayed in the lobby of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, where they form a permanent exhibition accessible to students, staff, and visitors.
