Sajida Maryam is pursuing her joint PhD at the Silesian University of Technology in collaboration with the Bahçeşehir University Turkey. The project aims to develop a biocompatible polymer as a carrier to deliver therapeutic drugs to the specific colorectal cancer region. She has a background in biological sciences and expertise in molecular biology. Her previous work on Gene expressions as immunological biomarkers of colorectal cancer was done under the joint funding project of Pakistan and Turkey (PSF-TUBITAK). She authored two scientific monographs, six papers in reputable journals, and various abstracts.

Research interests:

biopolymers and nanotechnology,
drug-delivery polymers,
molecular biology.
