Karolina Socha, MSc, Eng.

PhD Student

She graduated with honors from her second-cycle studies at the Silesian University of Technology, majoring in Chemistry, specializing in Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Chemistry. In 2022, she started her PhD at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Technology of Polymers under the supervision of Agata Blacha-Grzechnik. Currently, she is focusing on the synthesis and characterization of potential triplet photosensitizers based on the perylene skeleton.

Research interests:

  • organic synthesis,
  • triplet photosensitizers,
  • chemistry of perylene diimides,
  • photochemistry,
  • photophysics.
