Agata Blacha-Grzechnik has completed her PhD in the group of prof. Jerzy Zak (Silesian University of Technology), working on (electro)chemical methods for functionalization of solid surfaces with organic layers. Currently, she is focusing on formation and characterization of organic layers for application in photocatalysis or (opto)electronics.
Research interests:
- formation of organic layers using (electro)chemical methods,
- characterization of organic layers by spectroscopic, electrochemical and microscopic techniques,
- application of photoactive organic layers as singlet oxygen source in synthesis of fine chemicals and in wastewater treatment,
- formation of light-activated antibacterial coatings,
- application of electroactive organic monolayers in (opto)electronics.
