Marli.Ferreira@polsl.pl

Dr. Marli Ferreira has experience in Organic Chemistry, emphasizing Organic Synthesis, and acting on the multi functionalization of materials for organic optoelectronics. Her research interests lie in organic synthesis, N-heterocyclic systems, polycyclic aromatic compounds, metal-free and metallomacrocycles, TADF/RTP emitters, photosensitizers, and liquid crystals.

Research interests:

  • organic chemistry – design, synthesis and characterization of multifunctional materials,
  • synthesis of N-heterocyclic systems and functionalization of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons to modulate the electronic properties and the solubility,
  • donor-acceptor systems – synthesis and investigation of photophysical properties of TADF/RTP emitters,
  • photosensitizers – synthesis of metal-free and metallo macrocycles such as phthalocyanines and porphyrins,
  • condensed matter – investigation of structural and physical properties of thermotropic Liquid Crystals,
  • organic optoelectronics – synthesis of new organic materials for optoelectronic applications such as light-emitting devices, solar cells, and sensors.
