Changing places, changing lives. 11. PLGBC Green Building Symposium

Changing places, changing lives – under this slogan, the Polish Green Building Council PLGBC organizes the 11th edition of the PLGBC Green Building Symposium in a hybrid form. The program considers 4 strategic thematic sessions, including lectures, case studies, discussion panels and talks. Additional activities were also prepared. This most influential event of the green construction industry in Poland will take place on October 7 this year. in the sustainable space of Sound Garden Hotel in the Business Garden complex in Warsaw.

PLGBC Green Building Symposium is the most recognizable and opinion-forming international conference dedicated to the green building industry in Poland. It is an all-day event, full of selected best practices and inspiration, for learning and improvement in order to be able to meet the greatest challenges in the entire sector. This year, PLGBC Symposium takes the form of a hybrid event.

How can we shape space and change lives?

We have a breakthrough. The pandemic and climate change lead us towards finding new approaches, solutions and innovations, and joint actions. Individual sessions of the event will allow you to address these issues and find answers. The buckle is cooperation and sustainable financing of this type of activity.

This year's edition of PLGBC Green Building Symposium includes excellent speakers, innovative solutions, new knowledge and selected case studies related to sustainable construction in four inspiring thematic sessions.

In program:

SESSION 1. HEALTHY BUILDINGS, HEALTHY COMMUNITIES. HEALTH & WELLBEING
We need new stories about spaces that combine knowledge, commitment, passion and a vision for the future. Green building dream. Health and comfort must be taken into account at every stage of the building's life cycle.

SESSION 2. PERFORMANCE AND PEOPLE. RESILIENCE
The decisions we make today and the investments we initiate will shape the future that we are rebuilding. As we struggle with a pandemic, we must decide to support a more resilient, sustainable future.

Green buildings, for everyone, everywhere.

SESSION 3. RACE TO ZERO. NET ZERO CARBON
To achieve climate neutrality, the Polish construction market must undergo a transformation process. It is necessary to modify the approach to material production, design, the construction process and the energy sources used. How to integrate the value chain by decarbonising the construction industry.

SESSION 4: CLIMATE COOPERATION. GREEN FINANCE. FINANCING AND DEVELOPMENT
The world needs inspiration and proof that integrating, rapid and large-scale changes are possible to achieve a zero-carbon footprint in a timely manner.

As part of the event, additional activities were also prepared, including:

  • Virtual Partner Zone, where you can learn more about the projects, solutions and technologies of the event partners,
  • Climate game - Change Game, developed by Climate KIC and the CMCC Foundation,
  • Virtual photo exhibition of the winners of the Grand Press Photo 2021 competition in the category Environment and Photo essay,
  • PLGBC Green Building Tour around the sustainable Business Garden complex in Warsaw,
  • Participant's Virtual Pack, which, in addition to presentations and recordings, will include dedicated thematic materials,
  • #PLGBCsymposium playlist.

 


The carbon footprint related to the organization of the event will also be calculated.

The event will be accompanied by the announcement of the results of the PLGBC Green Building Awards 2021 competition.

PLGBC Green Building Symposium is supported by numerous recognized Partners and Patrons.

The organizer is the Polish Green Building Council PLGBC, which since 2008 has been implementing the mission of radically improving the design, construction and use of buildings in Poland so that sustainable construction becomes the norm.
