Compaing is organized within the Buildings are like people project. The Polish Ecological Building Association PLGBC has planned an online educational campaign Week in EKOdom. The event will take place from 23 to 29 August this year. The campaign's slogan - You create a sustainable home - is an encouragement to change everyday habits and make conscious choices for resource saving and environmentally friendly activities.

PLGBC invites every resident, its members and project patrons to get involved.

The aim of the campaign is to inspire the use of houses and apartments in a sustainable way - from design, through construction, to everyday use and renovation. The Association encourages the activity of every resident, its members and project partners.

As part of the campaign, the PLGBC will publish daily content with specific actions that can be taken to minimize the negative impact on the natural environment. Each day will be devoted to a different topic. Examples sent by organizations and people invited to cooperate will be presented. In addition, this week they will be able to show their support for the campaign on social media through dedicated graphics with hashtags: #EKOdom2021 and #budynkijakludzie.

PLGBC members will share solutions that can apply to a sustainable home. Project partners: eco blogger Ewelina Ulanicka, ecological portal Nowl Eco, organizations: Na Zielonym Foundation and OSOM Gliwice will present what acting for an eco-friendly life means for them. The association also wants to involve every resident - it encourages people to send photos and recordings of good practices implemented at home. The author of the most interesting ecological solution will receive a pass to the largest sustainable construction event in Poland: the 11th PLGBC Green Building Symposium.

Buildings are like people. Healthy, green apartments and houses are the care for the rational use of the planet's resources and the improvement of the health and well-being of apartment/house users. The Polish Green Building Association PLGBC strives to involve citizens in the implementation of the developed solutions in every day, sustainable life.
