Academic Aviation Training Center ATO POLSL

The Silesian University of Technology has received a certificate of approval from the ATO POLSL Academic Aviation Training Center as a center authorized to conduct training for airline pilot licenses. ATO POLSL will educate future pilots, among others, at the Gliwice airport. This joins the distinguished group of universities with this type of aviation training center.

The President of the Civil Aviation Authority issued certificate no. PL/ATO-78 for an indefinite period in accordance with point ARA.GEN.310(b) of Annex VI (Part-ARA) to EU Regulation No. 1178/2011 and the regulations of the Ministry of Infrastructure on the certification of civil aviation activities, taking into account the scope of the requested training activities, authorizing the provision of flight training for the ATPL(A) licence – integrated training. This certificate, on the one hand, confirms that ATO POLSL complies with the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011 of 3 November 2011 laying down technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation aircrew pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council (Text with EEA relevance). On the other hand, it indicates that ATO POLSL is permanently capable of ensuring the safe conduct of civil aviation training activities.
