Dr. Łos’es research interest encompasses medical biotechnology, virology, experimental pharmacology, cell death execution pathways, and (cancer) stem cell biology, the pathophysiology of epigenetic reprogramming (iPS-cells), and transdifferentiation. The research group's current focus includes (i) the development and improvement of transdifferentiation procedures for various cell types, and (ii) the application of biomaterials in tissue engineering and other areas.
Dr. Łos obtained over 40 grants, financing his scientific projects in Germany, Canada, Sweden, France, and Poland; active ones are presented below:
- 2021-2024 SZAFIR, grant #: DOB-SZAFIR/02/B/004/02/2020, “Zabezpieczenie medyczne Sił Zbrojnych RP w przeciwdziałaniu zakażeniom SARS-CoV-2 oraz ocena wpływu COVID-19 na ich gotowość operacyjną”/”Medical support of the Polish Armed Forces in preventing SARS-CoV-2 infections and assessing the impact of COVID-19 on their operational readiness” 913 000 PLN, (consorcium member; the whole consorcium is financed with 10 324 260 zł)
