Diagnostics of the operation of kitchen ventilation in a mountain shelter
The Department of Heating, Ventilation and Dedusting Technology was asked to diagnose the ventilation system of the kitchen and bar in the shelter in Morskie Oko. The result of the research will be a report describing the condition of the installation and a proposal to improve its operation.
On May 16-17, research on ventilation in the kitchen of the shelter in Morskie Oko began. An inventory of the mechanical ventilation system in the kitchen and in the bar located in the basement was made. Initial measurements of air flow velocity were also carried out in the zone of operation of kitchen hoods and in places of air inflow to the kitchen. Using a manual smoke generator, the direction of air flow in the vicinity of cooker hoods and under them was also examined.
The research will be continued during the next trip. Their ultimate goal is to prepare a report on the operation of the mechanical ventilation system in the shelter's kitchen. Methods to improve the operation of the installation will be proposed, and possibly new concepts for its solution.
