It is with deep sadness and regret that we inform you that Dr. Halina Ciuman, PhD, a retired employee of the Faculty of Environmental and Power Engineering, our dear friend, passed away on July 15, 2022.

Dr Halina Ciuman worked at the Department of Heating, Ventilation and Dedusting Technology from January 1980 to May 2016. In the area of ​​her professional interests were issues related to heating and energy auditing. As part of her research work, she dealt with, inter alia, the issues of division and settlement of individual heating costs in multi-family buildings. She was the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, conference papers, research papers, and an academic textbook.

Dr inż. Halina Ciuman was an energy auditor with building qualifications. She performed audits and energy certificates of buildings, and conducted numerous training courses in this field. From 2009, she was the main organizer and manager of postgraduate studies in auditing and energy certification of buildings.
She was also an excellent lecturer, tutor of many graduates, and supervisor of Master and Bachelor theses.
Dr inż. Halina Ciuman was a very kind and liked educator, always ready to help and give substantive support, and above all a good person. We will remember her as a cheerful, smiling and warm friend.

Funeral ceremonies will take place on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. At 10:00 am at the Church of Christ the King at ul. Okrzei in Gliwice, a funeral mass will be held, followed by a funeral procession to the Lipowy Cemetery.
