Sukces na naszych studentów! Zakończyła się kolejna edycja AEC Global Teamwork
Neither Karolina Tyrol and Mr. Mateusz Cebula, students of the 2nd-degree specialization in Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning and Air Protection, have completed the PBL project, organized by Stanford University as part of the 29th AEC Global Teamwork program, which started in January 2022. They both received the highest A + rating.
Students worked in international teams and, using the latest BIM techniques, designed university buildings in response to local challenges such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, extreme weather conditions, tight construction sites, local regulations and working conditions.
Their teams won two of three industry-sponsored competitions:
- 16th Sustainability Challenge: SUPPLY CHAIN - LOCAL - Pani Karolina (Pacific team)
- The 13th DPR IPD Challenge: BUILDINGS AS DIGITAL TWIN PRODUCT in SUPPORT of DfMA and O&M - Pan Mateusz (Island team)
AEC Global Teamwork brings together students, faculty, and industry practitioners from five disciplines - Architecture, Construction, Building Systems Engineering (MEP), Construction Management (CM), and Life Cycle Financial Management (LCFM). This year, the project involved 32 students from Stanford and 9 partner universities from around the world, representing 16 nationalities. Students were divided into 5 project teams, which consisted of members representing five disciplines.
