Viessmann's "Stop SMOG Car" visits KOWiTO
The Department of OWiTO cooperates with numerous companies operating in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry, organizing annual meetings with representatives of companies - presentations, shows, lectures for students. The aim is to familiarize students with the latest technical solutions operating on the market.
On March 9, students of the diploma semester of the OWKiOP specialization met with a representative of Viessmann, Marek Łechtański, who presented practical issues related to the use of renewable energy sources.
In front of the building B of the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, the Viessmann's training car "Stop SMOG Car" has been shown. It is equipped with ecological heating devices: the Vitocal 200-A air/water heat pump, the latest Vitodens 200-W gas condensing boiler as well as photovoltaic panels and the HL-OP-15 air purifier.
The vehicle is also equipped with an air pollution sensor, which provides information about the current air condition in a given place. The meter is connected on-line with the network of sensors (Airly) all over Poland.
Students could get acquainted with a model, working heating system for the production of domestic hot water, powered by solar energy (from devices located on the car roof). Thanks to the monitors placed inside the vehicle, they also had the opportunity to view and analyze the operating states of the heating devices in operation.
