Education Quality Assurance System
In order to constantly improve the quality of education – a factor determining the further development and strengthening of the position of the Silesian University of Technology in the national and European educational area – the Senate of the Silesian University of Technology introduced the Education Quality Assurance System (hereinafter referred to as the System), which is binding on all University units. The University System presents the framework of conditions and activities related to the quality of education, while the Education Quality Assurance Systems in force in the units, built on the assumptions of the university, are to take into account their own specificity and contain detailed procedures and other necessary documents.
The main goal of the System is to ensure the highest level of education for students by:
- introducing appropriate mechanisms to ensure the quality of education,
- creative planning of the teaching process,
- proper implementation of the didactic process, including through the development of the base and conditions of education,
- ensuring a high level of competence, constant development of pedagogical skills and the knowledge of academic teachers,
- constant monitoring and analysis of the quality of education,
- undertaking improvement actions,
- raising the rank of didactic work, incl. with the help of an objective and effective motivation system.
Compliance with the developed procedures and principles of education is aimed at ensuring repeatable and uniform conditions enabling obtaining appropriate education, by ensuring appropriate teaching staff, implementing ambitious and modern curricula within the framework of study plans, in accordance with education standards, as well as through the activities of research clubs.
