On 28–30 May 2026, the project team from the Department (Cuma Tyszkiewicz, Kamil Barczak), in cooperation with the staff of the Department of Medical Physics at the Świętokrzyskie Cancer Center, conducted a measurement session as part of the project “Development of a Dosimeter for Radiotherapy Based on Integrated Optics Technology”, funded under the Polish Metrology II programme.

During the research work, photonic temperature sensors developed within the project and based on ring resonators were tested and validated. The experiments were carried out under conditions involving the exposure of an aqueous environment to high-energy X-ray beams, which induced changes in the water temperature. The obtained measurement results confirmed the suitability of the developed sensors for operation under ionizing radiation conditions.
