We are pleased to inform you that dr hab. inż. Przemysław Struk prof PS, completed a mobility visit as part of the Erasmus+ STA (Staff Mobility for Teaching) programme. During this visit, held on 19–21 May 2026, he delivered lectures at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
The lectures focused on the applications of integrated photonic structures in biosensors, the use of MOEMS structures in imaging systems based on Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and the application of wide-bandgap materials in gas sensors.
The visit also included meetings with academic and teaching staff of the partner university, devoted to the development of cooperation in the field of education and to exploring opportunities for joint activities within projects funded by the European Union and research networks. An important aspect of the mobility was also the exchange of experience and ideas concerning current and emerging trends in student education, as well as directions for the development of scientific research.
The most important outcomes of the mobility include enhanced opportunities for staff and student exchange between Silesian University of Technology and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, strengthened technical competences and specialist knowledge among the lecture participants, as well as the further development of institutional cooperation and partnership between the two universities.
