AQ6370D: Spectroscopy and Spectral Analysis in the Near-Infrared Region and Telecommunication Bands
Responsible person: Dr Eng. Kamil Barczak, DSc.
We conduct research covering the following areas:
- Fiber-optic telecommunications and FTTx networks – configurations and comprehensive spectral measurements supported by OTDR techniques;
- Sensor configurations for the detection and measurement of gas and vapor concentrations of volatile substances using absorption spectroscopy in the SWIR band, including setups with multi-pass cells;
- FBG sensor systems and their networks for monitoring mechanical structure strain with temperature compensation – supervision of critical infrastructure;
- Fiber-optic measurement systems for stress monitoring (e.g., gas pipelines, anchor rods for rock mass monitoring, bridges, buildings, hydrogen pressure vessels, etc.);
- Fiber-optic measurement systems for temperature distribution monitoring (e.g., in batteries and energy storage systems).
