On 2 September 2026, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology hosted students from Southern Taiwan University of Technology, who were completing an internship at the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology.
During the visit, the guests had the opportunity to learn about the scientific and research activities of various departments of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and to visit selected laboratories and research facilities.
One of the highlights of the programme was a visit to the Department of Optoelectronics. Cuma Tyszkiewicz, DSc, PhD, Eng., presented the Department’s scientific and research activities, its current research areas, and the capabilities of its laboratory facilities. The students also toured the Department’s laboratories and research facilities, where they had the opportunity to learn about the research equipment used and the ongoing work in the field of optoelectronics.
