4th edition of the Project Polytechnic program
As part of the 4th edition of the Project Polytechnic program, our researchers had the opportunity to collaborate with high school students from the III Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Stefana Batorego w Chorzowie.
The project entitled “A Designable Lipase-Based Biocatalyst for the Sustainable Synthesis of Oleic Acid Esters” was carried out by students Maciej Mela, Grzegorz Florek, and Oleksii Bulavinstev under the supervision of Agnieszka Siewniak, PhD, Eng., and Anna Wolny, PhD, Eng.
The high school students had the opportunity to work in the laboratory of our research group and to use a scanning electron microscope.
The conducted research addressed today’s global challenges related to the design of sustainable chemical processes for industry, which is a routine element of activities within the Chrobok Group.
