New research projects under the Preludium 22 competition from National Science Center
Another success at the Department of Organic Chemical Technology and Petrochemistry!
Two of our doctoral students received funding under the PRELUDIUM 22 competition for research projects conducted by people without a doctoral degree organized by the National Science Center.
Project "Design of biocatalysts based on ionic liquids and designable carriers in model chemical processes",
was awarded to Ms. M.Sc. Eng. Annie Wolny, who carries out research under the supervision of Prof. Ph.D. engineer Anna Chrobok.
The project will include the synthesis of functional biomaterials with high catalytic activity and stability.
The developed and characterized biocatalysts will be tested in the biotransformation of chemicals derived from biomass into substances with high added value.
The project "Hydrazone Molecular Switches for Multicolor Magnetic Resonance Imaging" was awarded to M.Sc. Dawid Janasik,
who carries out research under the supervision of dr hab. engineer Tomasz Krawczyk, Prof. PS.
The project involves obtaining and examining a series of fluorinated hydrazone molecular switches in order to obtain multicolor magnetic resonance images of pH changes.
The results will be used to improve disease diagnosis, including the location of cancerous tissues.
We congratulate the competition winners on their great success and wish them further success!
