HOW DO WE TEACH?
- First of all, we focus on the practical aspect - this approach will allow you to acquire key skills and technical competencies in the field of:
- process modelling and equipment design using modern engineering software (programs such as CAD - Computer Aided Design, e.g. Autocad, CAE - Computer Aided Engineering, e.g. Chemcad, CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics, e.g. ANSYS Fluent),
- typical tasks in continuous improvement of production processes (Lean Manufacturing),
- implementation of the "fourth industrial revolution" i.e. digitization of industry (Industry 4.0),
- regulatory and legal requirements relevant to chemical and derived industries including intellectual property law,
- problem-based learning and project-based learning applied for tackling contemporary and future topics by chemical and processing industries.
- By studying with us, you will learn how to design chemical processes (e.g. mixing, heating, complex chemical reactions) and select appropriate measurement tools (e.g. temperature and pressure sensors or analytical methods to determine the composition of the post-reaction mixture), how to conduct tests on a laboratory scale and later how to use the results by industrial scale applications.
- We offer you individualized professional development through a variety of optional courses and project-based learning.
- Internships and practices. As a compulsory part of the course, a four-week internship by a selected enterprise or R&D unit is scheduled. We provide full assistance in organizing an internship in cooperation with our Business Partners, either domestic or international (Fluor, Henkel, Huntsman, Unilever, Isover, BASF, LOSENTECH).
