The photograph shows abandoned buildings and machinery of the former Fábrica da Luz, located in the Azores, Portugal. Industrial matter persists in a state of slow dissolution. The raw architectural forms and the remaining technical equipment create a landscape suspended between past and present — a space where the former energy of production has given way to silence, light, and the processes of natural degradation.
