The railings visible in the foreground are covered with corrosion formed as a result of many years of exposure to a powerful natural force. Water, which we often associate with life, can also be a destructive force— in this case leading to gradual degradation. The photograph was taken with an analog camera in San Diego (USA), in the La Jolla district.
