DISTINCTION
Daria Antosz - Korozja umysłu (Corrosion of the Mind)
In my work, I sought to depict two forms of the mind. The first, covered in green‑violet tones, embodies a continuous desire for growth despite age and difficulties. The second mind is presented as rusted, less visually appealing, yet equally essential, and capable of illuminating others and influencing them through its knowledge.
Through this, I wanted to challenge the commonly voiced notion that something rusted or corroded is unfit for use, ugly, or unwanted. I aimed to convey the idea that even certain things, thoughts or knowledge, which may be prone to “rusting” can still inspire and captivate through the depth of their experience and the paths taken to acquire that knowledge.
