A A+ A++

In the photo, rust acts as a medium, an intermediary supplying mountain hikers with life-giving water. My competition photograph, thanks to the simplicity of the captured frame, allows for a multi-layered interpretation. Rust, as a symbol of transience and decay, meets water, perceived as an essential element of creation - but often also a destructive element. An outstretched hand, probably for cleansing or watering... Or maybe for the purpose of one's own transformation, experiencing God, gaining the wisdom of older generations? Rust is often associated with something that causes destruction to objects. In this case, rust appeared on the pipe due to the high iron content in the water, which may discourage many hikers from drinking the water, fearing the consequences of unpleasant health effects.
