Visit of Prof. Rafat Siddique to the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology
This week we had the great pleasure of hosting Professor Rafat Siddique from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Silesian University of Technology (Politechnika Śląska)
Prof. Rafat Siddique, Dean, Sustainability and Senior Professor of Civil Engineering, delivered two insightful and well-attended lectures:
- Strategies to Publish Manuscripts in Q1 Journals
- Utilisation of Industrial By-Products in the Development of Sustainable Concrete
Prof. Siddique shared not only his extensive research experience in sustainable concrete technologies but also, drawing on his role as Editor for highly recognised journals, offered practical advice on academic publishing and strategies for building international research impact.
During the visit, our faculty members also had the opportunity to present their ongoing research projects and showcase our Laboratory and specialist research facilities. These meetings led to the discovery of many shared research interests and promising ideas for future collaboration.
It was also a great occasion to introduce Professor Siddique to our Silesian region, its heritage, and industrial legacy.
