INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR WITHIN THE “NAWA STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS” PROGRAMME AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BEIRA INTERIOR IN COVILHÃ

From 17 to 19 September, the second international seminar of the grant partners within the “NAWA Strategic Partnerships” programme will be held at the University of Beira Interior in Covilhã, Portugal. The project, entitled “Partnership for the Protection and Modernisation of the Architectural Heritage of the Second Half of the 20th Century in the Context of Green Transformation and Environmental Challenges,” will once again bring together partners from the participating universities: the Silesian University of Technology (project leader), the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (UNICAS), the Technical University of Crete (TUC), the University of Beira Interior (UBI), and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
The main objective of the meeting is to exchange knowledge and experience among the partner institutions, develop an international research network based on partnership, and integrate joint activities.
This time, the NAWA partnership activities will be expanded to include joint workshops within the EARTH3D research group, thereby putting into practice the programme’s core idea of fostering and strengthening international cooperation.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR WITHIN THE PROGRAMME “NAWA STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS 2025–2027” AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CASSINO AND SOUTHERN LAZIO 11–13 MAY 2026 (14.05.26)
On 11–13 May, the first international seminar of project partners within the “NAWA STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS 2025–2027” programme was held at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. The grant project titled: “Partnership for the protection and modernisation of architectural heritage of the second half of the 20th century in the perspective of green transformation and environmental challenges.”
The seminar was attended by representatives of the project leader and project partners, namely the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (UNICAS), the Technical University of Crete (TUC), the University of Beira Interior (UBI), and the Technical University of Valencia (UPV).
The main objective of the meeting was the exchange of knowledge and experience between partner institutions, as well as the creation of an international research partnership network and the integration of joint activities focused on research and the protection of architectural heritage from the second half of the 20th century. The cooperation will enable coordinated and long-term research activities addressing contemporary environmental and climate challenges.
The meeting resulted in the development of plans for further joint activities.
