Education and Congress Centre
The 4th Progress Review Conference of Universities paricipating in the "Excellence Initiative - Research University" programme will be held at the Silesian University of Technology Educational and Congress Centre in Gliwice, 18B Stanisława Konarskiego Street.
HOW TO GET?
- BY CAR
Gliwice is located at the intersection of two motorways - the A4 and the A1, which provides convenient and fast car transport from many academic centres from Gdansk to Wroclaw.
On 18 and 19 November, free parking spaces will be made available for registered stationary participants in the parking lot in front of the Education and Congress Centre in Gliwice.
- BY PLANE
The nearest airport, Katowice International Airport, is located approximately 50 km from the Silesian University of Technology. The drive from the airport to the University takes about 40 minutes by car.
You can also reach Gliwice from the airport by taxi (approximate cost: 170 PLN) or by the M14 bus, which operates 24/7. The bus timetable is available here.
Slightly further away, around 95 km from the Silesian University of Technology, is John Paul II International Airport in Kraków-Balice.
- BY TRAIN
The easiest way to get from Gliwice railway station to the Silesian University of Technology is by taxi (approximately 7 minutes). Alternatively, you can take buses departing from the Transfer Hub (Centrum Przesiadkowe in Polish), with stops on Łużycka, Wrocławska, or Strzody streets.
