HOW TO WORK SAFELY FROM HOME?
Recommendations for those currently working outside their offices (i.e. remotely) are obliged to follow.
I. DEVICES
- When working from home, the security procedures used in the organisation apply, so those who work remotely are asked not to install additional applications and software that do not comply with University procedures.
- It is necessary to ensure that all devices have the latest updates to their operating system (IOS or Android), software and anti-virus protection installed.
- Precautions must also be taken in a physical environment – such as separating a dedicated space without access by third persons, locking the device when it is necessary to move away from it, securing it with strong passwords and multi-factor authentication.
- Special measures must be taken to ensure that devices used by the employee during work, especially those intended for data transfer (such as external storage devices), are not lost. Please note that the administrator has made the encryption of personal data mandatory during transport.
II. E-mail
- It is recommended to use work accounts, and if a private e-mail address must be used, ensure that all content and attachments are properly encrypted. Avoid using personal data or confidential information in the subject of the message.
- It is urged to exercise vigilance when sending and receiving messages – ensure that the correct e-mail address is entered, and avoid reading e-mails from unknown recipients or opening attachments or links sent by them.
III. Network and cloud services
- During work that requires access to the organisation's network and cloud resources, all organisational rules and procedures for logging and sharing data are in force.
- Only use trusted networks and cloud services. If an employee performs their tasks outside these areas, they must ensure that data is securely archived.
