The Silesian University of Technology took patronage over the 3rd Geoengineering and Underground Construction Congress, which will take place on September 24-26, 2024 in Rzeszów.

The first day of the congress will be devoted to geoengineering in construction, with particular emphasis on aspects such as:
- carbon footprint reduction,
- modification of the subsoil in order to increase the load-bearing capacity and reduce settlements,
- modification of the subsoil in terms of reducing pressures and displacements of slopes/retaining structures.

During the second day of the event, the emphasis will be on tunnel construction, including:
- implementation of tunnel investments: road and railway in Poland and around the world,
- construction of a tunnel along the S19 Rzeszów Południe – Babica road in the context of current challenges and implementation plans.
- construction, modernization, equipment and operation of tunnels.

The GiBP2024 Congress is a continuation of the Geoengineering in Construction and Underground Construction conferences that have been created for several years, presenting the nuances of infrastructure implementations, as well as enabling a broad discussion between all parties of the investment process.

The congress will be attended by representatives of general contractors, investors, as well as industry contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and design offices. Speakers, both from the world of science and companies, will share their knowledge and valuable industry experience with the listeners.

The event will take place in a hybrid formula: you will be able to participate in it directly in Rzeszów and online via the Akademia.Inzynieria.com platform.
