Seminarium naukowe „Machine learning based damage identification in composite structures"”
Zapraszamy na otwarty wykład pt. „Machine learning based damage identification in composite structures", który odbędzie się 25.01.2023, o godzinie 13:30 w sali 36 Wydziału Mechanicznego Technologicznego Politechniki Śląskiej.
Zaproszony prelegant Dr inż. Sandris Rucevskis z Riga Technical University opowie o metodach sztucznej inteligencji stosowanych do identyfikacji uszkodzeń w strukturach kompozytowych itp.
Wykład zorganizowany jest w ramach seminarium z cyklu „Mechanika i diagnostyka konstrukcji”, które koordynuje Profesor Andrzej Katunin z Katedry Podstaw Konstrukcji Maszyn.
▶ Streszczenie
Due to significant advances in computational techniques and artificial intelligence methods, a data-driven structural health monitoring (SHM) approaches have become very attractive for detection of faults and prognosis of the remaining useful life of composite structures. The present study focuses on development and implementation of data-driven structural health evaluation method for damage identification in carbon fibre reinforced plastic plates. Five machine learning algorithms, namely, k-NN, discriminant analysis, decision trees, Naïve Bayes and Support Vector within two supervised learning schemes are used to create classification models by learning from simulated response data. The predictive performance of the developed classification models is evaluated by performing experimental identification of delamination damage in composite plates. The developed approach allows the implementation of a cost-effective SHM system without the need to perform a large number of physical experiments.
