From 29th April to 5th May, we would like to invite you to Architecture Week, another of 50 weeks in the City of Science. The event takes place as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 celebrations. The Architecture Week is coordinated by researchers of the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology.

The Architecture Week, which will take us into a world full of creative projects and inspiration to create is ahead of us. There will be painting exhibitions, creative workshops, and events.

The Architecture Week starts on Monday, April 29th. In addition to ceramic workshops, the organizers have prepared many initiatives for the inhabitants of the region, thanks to which you will be able to get acquainted with the architecture of Silesian cities. An excellent opportunity for this will be, among others, an architectural walk around Katowice, which will start from the Youth Palace.

Also, on Monday in the Silesian Library there will be an interesting discussion on architectural motifs in books.

And in the centre of Katowice a dance surprise is planned, which will confirm how you can use the urban space to present art. The show will take place at 03.00 p.m. On Saturday, also in the heart of Katowice, you will be able to take part in an artistic and photographic performance and a social game under the slogan “Open Up to Yourself” also available for blind people.

Architecture Week events on Tuesday will also be interesting, they will be devoted to space architecture. At the Gliwice campus of the Silesian University of Technology, there will be many meetings and lectures devoted to this subject.

Until 5th of May inclusive, during Architecture Week, which falls on the long weekend in May, the inhabitants of the region will have many opportunities to experience art. At the exhibitions you will be able to see the works of architecture students, also furniture designs, but also projects of artists from the USA, Canada, Costa Rica, India, Mongolia, Togo, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

In several places in the region, new leisure benches, which were created as part of the project "BenchMan Kato Science", will also be unveiled.
