Nights under the wings
Air shows, historic gliders, military helicopter flights, historical re-enactments, meetings with aviation enthusiasts, concerts, film screenings - these are the attractions of the upcoming "Nights under the wings" air picnic. The event with the participation of the Silesian University of Technology will take place at the Gliwice Aeroclub.
“Nights under the wings" will begin on Saturday, May 13th . On this day there will be air shows, a concert and a film screening. On May 14th , apart from the shows, the organizers have planned an "Afternoon with the Army" and a concert by Józef Skrzek, an outstanding Polish multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer.
The Civil Aviation Personnel Training Centre of Central and Eastern Europe of the Silesian University of Technology will be present at the event.
University representatives will present:
- Education offers in certified specialties: Air Navigation - Pilot license and Aviation Mechanics and Operation - Aviation Mechanic license
- Education offer in the field of Aeronautical and Space Engineering
- Stands related to the operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles with the possibility of testing two drone flight simulators
- Training offer on the operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in a licensed centre of the Silesian University of Technology
Aviation science clubs will also present themselves at the event.
