Geometrical workshops in the Secondary School no. 3 in Ruda Śląska
On June 10, 2022 in the John Paul II High School No. 3 in Ruda Śląska geometric workshops took place entitled "Is the impossible possible?". Thanks to the commitment of Ms. Ewa Skowron, math teacher at the High School No. 3, the workshop was attended by students from four high school classes. The workshop, conducted within the framework of the project "Tailor-made science" coordinated by the Centre for Science Popularization of the Silesian University of Technology, enabled inquisitive high school students to conduct their own experiments in mapping spatial objects and projecting. Accompanied by the workshop leader, Dr. Eng. Monika Sroka-Bizoń, who led the workshop, the students checked "whether the impossible is possible" and whether it is possible to draw a levitating cube on a sheet of paper. The workshop participants liked the projection of spatial elements very much - the students presented and discussed their results even after the end of the workshop. The next workshops in Ruda Śląska High School No. 3 have already been planned and will take place in the new school year 2022/2023.
