The running group “Silesian University of Technology & Friends” has resumed regular classes. The Science Popularization Centre of the Silesian University of Technology invites all people associated with our University to trainings every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
- The previous series of classes was very popular and its participants convinced me to come back to them - recalls Aleksandra Bańbor, who will conduct the trainings.
Aleksandra Bańbor is a multiple medallist of the Polish Academic Championships in 7 disciplines, ambassador of AZS, former Polish representative in swimming, winner of the Silesia Half Marathon and vice-champion of Europe in aquathlon.
The trainer assures that these classes are literally for everyone.
- People of various levels of advancement can participate in the training, regardless of their running experience - assures Aleksandra Bańbor. - We will practice running technique. There will also be speed and strength training. I focus on effective running - I just want to make everyone do it well.
Classes will take place every Thursday at 6.30 pm - in Gliwice (meeting point at the Rectorate of the Silesian University of Technology) and every third Thursday in Zabrze (meeting point at the statues of lions in Captain Witold Pilecki Park).

The classes are organized as part of the project "After Covid - Popularization of science and sport as an element of mitigating the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic" financed by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Social Responsibility of Science competition.
