Ladies and Gentlemen, 

The Silesian University of Technology inaugurated its 79^th academic year. Another chapter of history has opened, the pages of which our community will write. What will it be like? What will it bring? What goals will be achieved? What successes should be worked out? At the threshold of the new academic year, questions and expectations abound. In the October Bulletin, we devote a lot of attention to methods of disseminating science. Is the place of technical education in the hierarchy of student candidate priorities high enough to be able to confidently apply to a technical university? We will look at the opinions and feelings of those whose life choices have been rewarded with success.
