EHTIC (European HealthTech Innovation Congress), with an award in the national competition "Modernization of the Year and Construction of the 21st century"


The building of the Silesian Centre for Engineering Support in Medicine and Sport "Assist Med Sport Silesia" (EHTIC) was rated as the best facility in the field of: Objects of Science and Education. The award was granted in the national competition "Modernization of the Year and Construction of the 21st century".

The competition has been held annually for 27 years. Over 500 objects were submitted to the last edition. The awards and distinctions were presented at the gala held on September 28th , 2022, at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

The award was presented to the Vice-Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, dr hab. Eng. Tomasz Trawiński, prof. SUT and authors: dr hab. Eng. arch. Grzegorz Nawrot, prof. SUT; dr hab. Eng. arch. Tomasz Wagner, prof. SUT; arch. Adam Niedośpiał, as well as the contractor - Mostostal Zabrze.



EHTIC is a modern science and research centre operating in Zabrze at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology. It conducts interdisciplinary research, service, information, training and promotional activities in the field of innovative technologies for health.
 
Highly specialized laboratories and EHTIC workshops are equipped with the most modern equipment and software available on the global market. These resources are used by teams of scientists from the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology to design, create and develop innovative technologies related to bioinformatics, bioelectronics, bio mechatronics or biomaterials implemented in medicine and sport.
