Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation - History
Faculty of Mining and Geology was established in 1950 as the Faculty of Mining, and it has the right to award scientific titles up to the title of a Doctor of Technical Sciences (awarded over 550 times) and Assistant Professor of Technical Sciences (awarded 116 times).
Since its establishment, the Faculty educated over 25 thousand graduates (Eng. and MSc) on both full-time and part-time study programmes in the fields of Mining and Geology, Management and Production Engineering, and Safety Engineering.
