Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science - Study offer

The Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science is one of few in Poland that offer the possibility to study in English.

Control, Electronics, and Information Engineering (CEIE)

An interdisciplinary BSc and MSc study programme, which corresponds to common standards of technical universities in Europe, making it possible for students to participate in exchange programs and spend a semester or two at a foreign university as part of their study.

Bachelor Degree - Course Description

The BSc study programme lasts for 7 semesters, 3.5 year.

During these studies, for the first 5 semesters students obtain thorough education in the fields of mathematics, physics, basics of computer and technical sciences. Special attention is paid to solving practical engineering problems, as well as integration of knowledge with teamwork and leading skills.

During the last 2 semesters, students expand their education within one of 3 specializations: Automatic Control, Electronics and Telecommunication or Computers Sciences.

In general, alumni of the CEIE programme are engineers with interdisciplinary knowledge, combined with practical experience and specialized skills in one of the three fields mentioned above.

Master Degree – Course description

The MSc study programme consists of 3 semesters (1.5 year) and focuses on one of the three specializations: Automatic Control, Electronics and Telecommunication and Computer Sciences.

Alumni of the Automatic Control  specialization are prepared to work as designers and maintenance engineers of automatic control systems and plants, robotic technologies, measurement systems, mechatronic technologies and computer systems of automation.

Alumni of the Electronics and Telecommunication specialization are prepared to carry out research and scientific tasks, as well as solve engineering problems in areas of electronic elements and system design, user hardware and software design for systems in electronics and telecommunication, measurements, control and medical equipment.

Alumni of the Computer Science specialization acquire skills in construction, maintenance and usage of system software, as well as application development, system building and computer networks, design and administration of databases operating in various environments and operation systems.

In general, all of these specializations guarantee a lot of flexibility and follow dynamic changes resulting from scientific development of the corresponding discipline.

This is why Alumni of the CEIE are well prepared to join the labour market in a fast changing environment. Proficiency in English and knowledge of English scientific and professional terminology allow them to find employment in international companies and foreign countries.
