Professor Marek Pawełczyk, Vice Rector for Science and Development, on June 15-16 at the invitation of the Polish embassy in Japan participated in a meeting regarding the offer of the Silesian University of Technology for the financial sector.
The Silesian University of Technology ranked 2nd in a contest organised by the Polish embassy in Japan, concerning the Polish technological offer for the Financial Technology (FinTech) sector. Only those Polish institutions, which ranked 7th or higher were invited by the embassy to participate in the meeting.
During his visit to Tokyo, Professor Pawełczyk also met with Professor Teruo Fujii, General Director of the Institute of Industrial Science of the University of Tokyo, which ranks 28th on the QS World University Rankings (the so-called “Shanghai List”). Both parties are interested in concluding a cooperation in the field of mobility of students and didactic staff, as well as the implementation of joint projects.
Japanese institutions, which also took part in the meeting include:
