Guests from Cranfield at our University

Silesian University of Technology recently hosted representatives of the Cranfield University, one of the leading research universities in the United Kingdom, which is a long-term partner of our institution. Each year, Cranfield University accepts students o0f the Silesian University of Technology within the framework of a double-diploma agreement.


The group of representatives included Professor Simon Pollard, Pro-Vice-Chancellor responsible for international cooperation, as well as Professor Tom Stephenson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of research and innovation.


Silesian University of Technology was represented by Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk, Rector of our university, Professor Marek Pawełczyk, Vice Rector for Science and Development and Wojciech Sitek, PhD Eng., the plenipotentiary for international education, as well as Grzegorz Kłapyta, PhD Eng., head of the International Relations Office.


During the meeting, representatives of both institutions summarized past and current activities and discussed the future didactic and scientific cooperation, as well as the possibilities of launching a program of double-diploma for non-EU students.


This meeting was also a perfect occasion to renew relevant cooperative agreements. On June 21, the visit of our guests from UK was concluded with signing of a Cooperation Agreement between our two institutions.
