SUT has another global cooperation partner

Silesian University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with Johnson Matthey Battery Systems – one of the largest suppliers of lithium-ion batteries in Europe. The contract was signed on Tuesday, 10th of April, in the University rectorate.


The aim of the cooperation is to use the experience and scientific achievements of the Silesian University of Technology, as well as the potential and position of Johnson Matthey Battery Systems for further activities serving the good of the parties and the development of the region. The agreement was signed by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk and HR manager of Johnson Matthey Battery Systems, Vladyslav Kryvenko.


Under the agreement, our students will be able to take internships and training at the company’s headquarters, and will also have the opportunity to write their diploma thesis on topics related to the actual technological problems and the company’s needs. The agreement is also beneficial for our graduates who will be able to join the staff of Johnson Matthey Battery Systems. The University and the company will also jointly determine the topics of research and development, improve educational programmes and exchange experience in the field of knowledge management, with particular emphasis on the development of competences. A team of specialists for strategic technical and organizational solutions will also be established.
