The Silesian University of Technology hosted the consultative conference "Study in Poland"

The Silesian University of Technology hosted a consultative meeting of universities participating in the "Study in Poland" program. The event took place on 25 and 26 June in Zabrze and gathered representatives of universities from all over Poland. The aim of the conference was to summarize the implementation of the "Study in Poland" program in the last academic year, as well as to discuss plans for 2018/2019 and priorities for 2019-2021.

On the first day of the meeting, the Committee on International Cooperation of the CRASP was held. On the second day, the program's conference was opened jointly by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, professor Arkadiusz Mężyk, president of the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy" Waldemar Siwiński and by professor Jan Bardukiewicz, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and International Projects at the University of Wrocław, member of the International CRASP Commission.

During the meeting participants discussed, among others, the subject of "Study in Poland" educational missions to priority markets. The prospects and possibilities of the Uzbekistan market, challenges and new solutions for Polish universities in the Indian market as well as the Ukrainian students in Poland were discussed.

The coordinator of the "Academy of Internationalization" Joanna Domagała talked about the plans of the academy for the academic year 2018/2019. As the organiser of the "Study in Poland" program "Perspektywy Education Foundation" emphasizes - the passing edition was exceptional in many respects: from the launch of the "Internationalization Academy", where the most current and demanding topics in the internationalization of Polish higher education are discussed through record interest in the conference "Foreign Students in Poland 2018", which took place in January at the Silesian University of Technology, up to educational missions aimed at opening new recruitment markets: Uzbekistan and India.
