Announcement concerning the suspension of international departures/arrivals
Please be informed that pursuant to Resolution No 25/2020 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 4 March 2020, international business trips of students, doctoral students and employees of the Silesian University of Technology as well as arrivals of students, doctoral students and employees coming from abroad are being suspended until further notice.
ATTENTION! The suspension of departures and arrivals refers to countries under epidemiological threat.
In the case of internship related trips over one month
, all cases will be considered individually, at the request of a concerned individual, depending on the intended place of stay.
Employees, students and doctoral students of the Silesian University of Technology returning from international trips from countries affected by epidemiological threats (current information is available on Chief Sanitary Inspectorate at gis.gov.pl
) should monitor their health for two consecutive weeks and perform work or study from home.
Absence from classes or work resulting from the above will be excused.
We kindly ask you to carefully follow the messages on the website of the Silesian University of Technology, where any new and important organizational information will be published.

students and doctoral students should send an e-mail informing about their absence to the Studies Service Centre e-mail address: RD1@polsl.pl (tel. 32 237 17 58, 32 237 19 87, 32 237 11 90) employees should report their absence to the head of the organizational unit, who is responsible for sending an e-mail to Human Resources Office each time.

In urgent cases, students and employees may address questions related to their health to the Academic Medical Centre or to the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Gliwice, phone 32 338 05 00, or to report to the nearest INFECTIOUS DISEASES ward.

A special recommendation has been posted on the website of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in relation to the conduct at universities in the event of a coronavirus threat.
