Scientists discussed transportation problems

The problems of transport and transport infrastructure were discussed during the XI International Scientific Conference "Transport Problems 2019" and the VIII Symposium of Young Scientists - one of the most important platforms for the exchange of scientific ideas in this field. The symposium was held at the Faculty of Transport of the Silesian University of Technology, while the conference took place in Katowice and Bochnia.

At the conference and symposium, which took place at the end of June, not only papers related to transport were presented, but also those devoted to transport infrastructure. Both of these events should be considered as a comprehensive offer of exchange of scientific ideas, because they complement each other, and many scientists participate in symposiums and conferences at the same time.

This year's TP'2019 conference gathered a record number of participants and a record number of scientific articles were presented and published by scientists from 23 countries, including several Asian, African and South American countries. The plenary session of the conference was held at the Faculty of Transport, attended by leading scientists from Bulgaria, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Poland, as well as representatives of the Police Road Traffic Department and the Voivodeship Road Transport Inspectorate.

Further sessions were held in Bochnia in 3 parallel sessions and focused on the problems of all transport sectors and its infrastructure.
