Another cooperation agreement signed with LG Chem

LG Chem, the leader of the Korean chemical industry, strengthens its presence on the Polish market. Having two production plants in Lower Silesia, the company is looking for cooperation partners. One of the steps in this direction is the agreement signed with the Silesian University of Technology on 28 May.

The Korean side was represented by the President of the Management Board of LG Chem Wrocław Energy Sp. z o. o. Seungse Chang. The Silesian University of Technology was represented by the  Rector Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk.

Under the agreement, LG Chem Wrocław Energy Sp. z o. o. undertakes, among other things, to present a list of proposed topics for diploma theses to be used by students at our university, to enable students of the Silesian University of Technology to complete their diploma thesis on the topics indicated by this company, to carry out student internships lasting at least one month. This is addressed to students or graduates who have not started their professional career yet. One of the items of the agreement is also the possibility of sponsoring projects which improve the quality of education and scientific research in the area of company’s interest.

The Silesian University of Technology, among other things, will take into account topics of diploma theses raised by the other party and will make the diploma theses available with the consent of their authors. University employees will participate in selected research projects.

The cooperation agreement aims at using the experience and scientific achievements of the Silesian University of Technology as well as the potential and position of LG Chem for further actions serving the good of the parties and the development of the region.
