Silesian University of Technology obtained a certificate for conducting training to obtain an airline pilot license

Silesian University of Technology obtained the certificate of approval for the Academic Aviation Training Centre ATS POLSL, as a centre authorized to conduct training to obtain a license of a linear airplane pilot. ATO POLSL will train future pilots also at the Gliwice Airport. Thus, the Silesian University of Technology joined the honourable group of universities holding this type of aviation training centre.
 
The President of the Civil Aviation Authority issued the certificate No. PL/ATO-78 for an indefinite period of time in accordance with article ARA.GEN.310 letter b of Annex VI (part-ARA) to EU Regulation 1178/2011 and following provisions of the Ministry of Infrastructure on the certification of civil aviation activities, taking into account the scope of the proposed training activity, authorizing to conduct flight training in ATPL (A ) - integrated training.
 
On one hand, this certificate confirms the fact that ATO POLSL meets the requirements of the Regulation of the Commission (EU) No. 1178/2011 dated 3 November 2011 specifying technical requirements and administrative procedures for civil aviation crews in accordance with Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (EC) No 216/2008 (A relevant text to EEA). On the other hand, it indicates that ATO POLSL is permanently able to ensure the safe execution of training activities in civil aviation.
